Joanna qualified in March 1997 having trained with Herbert Smith. She undertakes a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious work including advising on employment contracts and handbooks, handling redundancies and other dismissals and dealing with discrimination issues. She has developed a particular interest in supporting human resources professionals in dealing with complex and difficult cases and advising employers on TUPE. She has experience of pursuing and defending claims in the Employment and High Court.
Joanna helps to organise our programme of client seminars and has lectured on a wide variety of employment issues including family-friendly legislation, Human Rights, the taxation of termination payments and handling under-performing employees. She has also written articles on National Works Councils, handling sickness absence, TUPE and unfair dismissals.
She became a partner in May 2006.
