Romella trained at Dechert in London and during her time there spent periods working at their offices in Philadelphia and Brussels. She qualified in October 2006 and spent over a year at Slaughter and May before joining Fox Williams in December 2007. Romella graduated from the University of Sussex with an honours degree in Politics and went on to study the PgDL at the University of Sussex and the LPC at the College of Law in London.
Romella advises both employers and senior executives on a wide range of HR and employment – related matters including the employment aspects of corporate transactions, the application of TUPE, executive service agreements, disciplinary and grievance issues, and termination packages and compromise agreements.
Romella has also advised both employers and pension scheme trustees on a wide range of pensions issues including benefit changes, the implications of TUPE, age discrimination and employer cessation debt obligations. Romella regularly contributes to the HR law website.
