Mark Watson


Mark is a partner in the employment department and has worked at Fox Williams specialising in employment law for more than 25 years. He became a partner in 1989. Mark advises on all aspects of employment law, including the employment aspects of acquisitions and sales, redundancies, restrictive covenants and difficult problems relating to TUPE and outsourcing. He has wide experience acting for senior executives as well as advising employers on complex board issues and shareholder disputes. His extensive business experience at a senior level enables Mark to assist clients in finding pragmatic solutions to strategic boardroom issues. He acts for many US companies on employment matters, either directly or through their UK subsidiaries.

Mark has considerable experience of defending and bringing claims for unfair and wrongful dismissal in the employment tribunal and of supervising junior lawyers in undertaking this work for employers and employees.

Mark is a Past President of the Labour Law Commission of the Union Internationale des Avocats and the immediate Past President of the UK National Committee of that organisation.
