Sacha Schoenfeld

Sacha is head of our immigration team and has been practising immigration law for 20 years. She specialises in all aspects of UK business immigration and nationality law as well as the laws governing EU free movement and she supervises the work done by all members of the immigration team. Sacha has particular expertise in the Points Based System, including sponsoring migrants under the Points Based System, entrepreneurs and investors, as well as discretionary applications. She has undertaken extensive work with the Home Office with regard to client audits of UK based businesses, helping them to meet complex and extensive HR and immigration requirements, as required by frequently changing policy and rules. Her clients are drawn from all sectors and include multinational corporations, SMEs, entrepreneurs, charities and high net worth individuals.

Sacha has significant experience in servicing international clients, advising on corporate immigration strategy on a global scale and dealing with the related issues that arise. She deals with all immigration matters including highly complex issues faced by corporations and banks, as well as personal immigration matters for individuals and their families. Sacha helps her international clients to develop immigration compliance systems and strategy and regularly engages with the UK Government, the European Commission, and advisory bodies and think tanks.

In view of the fact that the UK’s decision to leave the EU will inevitably cause a period of great uncertainty around immigration policy, Sacha is advising clients to ensure they are ready to take advantage of the opportunities, mitigate risks, and have the processes and people in place to manage a period of uncertainty, particularly in view of the likely increase in Home Office visits and audits of UK based companies in the lead up to the UK’s exit from the EU.

Sacha speaks fluent French and Romanian, and is conversant in Russian and Spanish. Prior to joining Fox Williams, Sacha worked at top firms in Paris and Romania and ran a niche immigration practice in the UK.
